What is CrossFit Fringe’s Elements Program?

Our Elements Program is designed for your long-term success!

When you meet with us we will go over what you are looking to accomplish. Because our gym is not for everyone we want to make sure that it is right for you! We are a facility that is truly focused on you and your goals.

Who is the right fit for Fringe’s Elements Program?

The right fit at CrossFit Fringe has nothing to do with your physical abilities and everything to do with your character. We protect you, our members, and our staff from anyone who might add negativity and people who aren’t interested in being coached. As long as you are kind and coachable you will excel at CrossFit Fringe!

It’s important to us that you know when you enter our facility, we will protect you fiercely from anyone who doesn’t have your best interest at heart.

Because we designed our programs with you in mind, we created an Elements program to start you off with that sets you up for long-term success.

What is the CrossFit Fringe Elements Program?

We know that some people prefer one-on-one personal training – an environment that allows for focus on your body at all of its limitations, strengths, and weaknesses. Others prefer small group classes – gain community, cheer each other, feel the energy, and maybe even go to brunch together! And then others prefer a hybrid approach to fitness, where you have the focus you need with personal training coupled with the small group class environment. Which one are you?

Whatever works for your body AND your mind, our Elements Program has you covered.

Our Elements program leads you through proper techniques in our basic Foundational Movement patterns. We coach you in a one-on-one environment, so you move safely AND we learn about HOW your body moves along the way.

How does the Elements program at Fringe help me?

You don’t just sign up and hop into group classes with the coach knowing nothing about you, or you knowing nothing about the class. You don’t just sign up and start lifting heavy weights in personal training sessions. Those are both quick ways to get injured and feel frustrated, and end up quitting your new fitness routine again. Have you been there? We know that we certainly have!

Our Elements program is designed to make sure you get the benefits of exercise that show up in your everyday life.

We might do these day to day but we aren’t always able to do so properly or without pain. Since we train you for what life throws at you outside these gym walls, we have to start by mastering the foundations in order to build upon them.

What are the 6 foundational movement patterns?

The 6 foundational movement patterns that are found in everyday life are squat, hinge, lunge, push, pull and carry.

  • Squat: Sitting on the toilet, getting in and out of a car, sitting on the couch
  • Hinge: Picking something up that you dropped, bending over to pet a dog, picking up a child
  • Lunge: Helps you get up off the floor, walk up the stairs, hiking
  • Push: Pushing a child on a swing, pushing yourself off the ground, pushing a car that is broken down
  • Pull: Pulling something off a shelf, pulling someone up off of the ground
  • Carry: Carrying a child, groceries, moving boxes, laptop bag

We teach, assess, and correct your movement in each of these patterns by providing you with four personal training sessions to begin. After that, it’s up to you whether you go into group classes or continue with personal training sessions to reach your goals. If there is more focus needed to excel in these foundational movements, we won’t hold you back from joining classes if you feel ready, but we will continue working with you as needed to improve along the way.
