Meet Craig Moore, CrossFit Fringe’s Newest Intern

We are thrilled and excited to announce Craig Moore as the newest Coaching Intern at CrossFit Fringe. Craig recently attended and passed his CrossFit Level 1 Certification and we are thrilled to have him with us. You can find him helping out with On-Ramp and regular classes. Congratulations Craig! And now a little background from Craig himself!

Introducing Craig Moore:

Craig Moore

Hello Outliers! If you’re a morning regular, you likely already know me as the kid in the morning that’s always lifting in the back room and making fun of Nate. For those that come in the afternoons, you’ve probably seen me helping out with On-Ramp classes lately and making fun of Nate (did I mention he really likes it when you call him Tater Tot?). Why does this matter? Well, I’m excited to announce that I am now officially an intern coach at CrossFit Fringe! Craig MooreFor those of you that haven’t met me, I’ll give you a quick background. I am a student at the University of Missouri majoring in Dietetics as well as Nutrition and Fitness. I was born and raised in St.Louis, Missouri and am the 4th of 5 children. My mother is a personal trainer and I essentially “grew up” in a gym, and as a result have always been very physically active. I played a variety of sports throughout my youth, but was an especially gifted runner. Towards the end of high school I dedicated myself to training for marathons as my primary athletic endeavor. I first began CrossFit on my own in 2012 as a means to improve my running, but soon found myself becoming more interested in CrossFit than running. Shortly thereafter, I began training at what was CrossFit United before Nate, Ben, and Tyler decided to open Fringe. I have now been exclusively training CrossFit for a year and a half and can honestly say I love it. CrossFit has introduced me to a number of incredible people and I cannot imagine my life without it. I really can’t put into words how excited I am to be working as an intern at Fringe and to have the opportunity to help so many people reach their goals. This is an amazing opportunity for me as I have the chance to learn from all of the great coaches at Fringe and to get to know all of our incredible members better! If I haven’t met you, please introduce yourself! I’m looking forward to helping motivate everyone and being the best coach I can be!

Now for some random facts (because who doesn’t love random facts?):

  • My long-term goal is to qualify for Regionals in 2015
  • Both of my roommates train at CrossFit Como  and one is also a coach. They are incredible athletes and provide me with motivation everyday!
  • Like Tyler and Charlie, I too enjoy Ke$ha’s music
  • Because sports are important, I root for the Indianapolis Colts, Houston Rockets, and St. Louis Cardinals. My dream job would be to work as a Sports Dietitian for any of these teams
  • I love front squats, handstand walks, and Brussels sprouts
