#Ogarstrong at the Outlier

If there is strength in numbers, then CrossFit Fringe was the most structurally sound building in mid-Missouri this past Saturday. With over 140 individuals in attendance, 40 silent auction donations, and more than 50 athletes participating in “Ogar,” CrossFit Fringe raised over $7,000 for our friend and fellow CrossFit athlete, Kevin Ogar.

With warm-up and heats running from 2:00pm to around 7:00pm, our house was electric — with bars slamming, movements being taught, bids being placed, and cheering you could hear from downtown (well, maybe not literally). We were also fortunate to also have over 20 members of Kevin’s family join us. A few even jumped in and participated in their first WOD ever!

The WOD “Ogar” was designed by none other than Matt Hathcock, training partner and close friend to Kevin. This 14 minute AMRAP consisted of 3 touch-n-go snatches, 1 muscle-up (Or scaled option) and 12 wall balls. We saw incredible efforts made by so many athletes AND first-timers. It truly showed the infinite scalability that CrossFit has to offer.

Along with incredible performances in the WOD, we also received some incredible generosity by some amazing individuals and businesses. A huge thank you to everyone below, who donated to our silent auction and helped us push our donations well past our original goal:

We’d also like to thank all of our volunteers who helped us organize and run such an incredible event…
