Question: How is the decision made as to whether we bike or row in a workout?
We are excited to welcome Jordan Kroell to the CrossFit Fringe team as a coach for Group CrossFit Classes, Personal Training, and Individual Programming!
Coach Jordan is an exciting addition to our Coaching Team. He shares our vision of providing growth and learning opportunities to our members with a passion for coaching and building special programs. And since many of our coaches and athletes have worked with Jordan already, it feels like getting to work with a friend as well.
The Deets on Jordan
Jordan hails from New Bloomfield, Missouri. After graduating high school he attended William Woods University. There, he was an Assistant to the Strength and Conditioning Head Coach for four years. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science in 2009 and became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
After graduation, he became a Trainer and Coach in several area facilities. He coached a wide variety of clients from powerlifters and NCAA basketball players to Boston Marathon qualifiers and clients preparing or rehabilitating from major surgeries. He also became deeply involved in weightlifting, both as a Coach and a Competitor.
Jordan returned to school for a Master’s Degree in Human Performance at Lindenwood University in 2016. While at Lindenwood he was the Assistant Olympic Weightlifting Coach, winning four consecutive University National Titles in the men’s, women’s, or co-ed divisions. After graduation, he returned to Columbia in June 2020 and began coaching CrossFit exclusively.
Jordan lives with his girlfriend of six years, Laura and they have three dogs: Zoe, Neno, and Na’Zdorovije. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, lifting weights, going out to eat, and watching pro wrestling.
I can’t tell you how many times we’ve uttered this phrase over the past few weeks.
Quite simply, it’s been a thrill to brainstorm and plan the next stages of our future with this team. We want to not only be the best hour of your day, but bring the expertise, passion, and cheerleader to your other twenty-three as well. Jordan brings a huge drive for collaboration and feedback, an insane work ethic, and a commitment to excellence that fires us up. We can’t wait to see it at work in our community.
