CrossFit Fringe is excited to announce Coach Nate Bacott and our CrossFit Kids coaching crew will be hosting a Spring Break Kids Camp -- March 23-27!School spring break can be a tough time for parents and kids alike. Kids have a break from their normal routine learning, while parents have to scramble to find activities and entertainment for them for the week. That's where we come in! Let us educate, entertain, and keep your kiddos active from the beginning of the day into the early afternoon.
The goal of our Camp is to forge broad, general and inclusive fitness knowledge while our young athletes' ages 6-11 and 12-16 while having a great time.
Each day, we will focus on building CrossFit skills such as weight training, gymnastics and running, in addition to yoga, mobility and a healthy diet. Campers will enjoy lessons that are designed to keep them moving, engaged, and activities such as Olympic games simulations, making healthy snacks, and ways to turn every workout into a fun game!
We hope by March 27, our CrossFit Fringe campers will discover or enhance a love of fitness and wellness while simultaneously growing their abilities to work collaboratively with other athletes and coaches.
All camp activities are executed under the guidance of a CrossFit Kids certified coach and a full support staff.Check out a sample day below!
9:00-9:20am Arrival / Icebreaker / Yoga (May include name game, ROMWOD)
9:20-9:30am Game (Example: 3 Man Monkey Roll, or other easy game)
9:30-10:00am Weights / Gymnastics / Skill (Example: Med-ball cleans / Skin-the-cats / Ladder Drills)
10:00-10:30am WOD 1 (Includes: Prep, whiteboard, skill, heats)
10:30-10:45am Snack / Nutrition / Short Video (Example: Smoothie King / Water vs. Gatorade / What it's like to compete in CrossFit)
10:45-11:15am Small Group Talk / Competition Talk/ Service Project (Example: Make group name / What is this competition? / Equipment care tutorial / Charity)
11:15-11:30 am Stretch / Yoga / Clean / Gym (Example: Finish ROMWOD from morning / Scholastic activities / open gym)
11:30am-12:00pm WOD 2 (Large team WOD, for points in week-long competition)
12:00-1:00pm Lunch / Activity (Brown bag lunch / Watch Every Second Counts / Capture the flag / Talent Show)
Our Kids Camp is open to members and non-members, ages 6-11 (Junior Varsity) and 12-16 (Varsity).
Note: Healthy snacks will be provided, but campers should come having had breakfast and with a bagged lunch daily.
