Sloppy Joe's A childhood favorite that is still a 10/10 family pleaser! Grab a few easy ingredients and made these sweet and savory sandwiches and then freeze some for later!
•1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
•1 pound lean ground beef
•1/2 cup finely chopped carrots
•1/2 cup finely chopped celery
•1/2 cup finely chopped green bell pepper
•1/2 cup finely chopped red bell pepper
•1/2 cup finely chopped yellow or red onion
•1/2 teaspoon salt
•2 cloves garlic, minced
•2 tablespoons brown sugar
•3 teaspoons red wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar
•1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
•1 1/4 cups tomato sauce
•1/4 cup ketchup
•1/2 cup low sodium beef broth (preferred) or water
•Buns - or baked sweet potatoes if you want to get really fancy!
